Fire & Safety

Kindly refrain from smoking inside the room

Smokers are requested to extinguish their cigarettes in designated ashtrays and refrain from disposing of them on the street or in the garden. Before leaving your room or going to bed, ensure that all cigarette butts in the ashtrays are completely extinguished. Avoid emptying ashtrays into waste baskets.

For safety reasons, candles are not permitted in the bedroom.

In the event of observing smoke or fire

1.

Immediately inform the front desk either by dialling the provided number or in person.

2.

Activate the fire alarm.

3.

Quickly evacuate the room, ensuring that all doors are closed behind you, and proceed to the nearest Assembly Point (Front entrance & rear entrance).

4.

If there is no immediate danger, attempt to extinguish the fire using the onsite fire extinguishers.

5.

Always prioritize your personal safety and avoid taking unnecessary risks.

If you hear the Fire Alarm while inside the room

1.

A continuous alarm indicates that you should exit the building through the nearest available exit.

2.

Approach the door of your room. If there is smoke present, crawl towards the door instead of standing upright, as smoke and toxic gases tend to rise.

3.

Assess the temperature of the door by touching it with the palm of your hand. If the door feels hot, it may be safer to remain inside your room. If the door is not hot, slowly open it, but be prepared to close it immediately if required.

4.

If the nearest exit or stairway is obstructed by smoke or fire, return to your room, close the door, and inform someone that you are inside. Use damp towels or sheets to block any gaps or cracks where smoke could seep in.
